SUPERSTITION @ AN TUA NUA

superstition

It’s almost impossible to describe all the varieties of music the rotating (tee-hee) crew of DJs at An Tua Nua play for their end of the week Superstition audio-visual dance nights. We could tell you they play future-pop, new wave, electro-goth-funk, sound virus, and other genres we didn’t even have to make up, but there’s really no point, so long as you know about one group on their extensive DJ list: Morris Day and the [Motherfuckin’] Time. Screw Prince. Do you know what The Time’s first (and only) album was?  It was called “What Time Is It?” That’s right, they were seeing-what-you-did-there before the internet even existed.

  1. The Time had more than one album. But why start fact-checking now, right?

  2. And when you say “screw Prince”, do you mean “screw Prince, because he wrote, arranged, produced, and played every note of music on this album”?

  3. SEAN CLANCY SEAN CLANCY says:

On your first point: clearly, the only real album they had was the punny one.
To your second: Yes, that’s exactly what was meant. Mr. Anonymous. Or should I say Mr. Prince Rogers Nelson?
