DIG THIS: THE FOUNDRY EQUATION @ FOUNDRY WORKS BUILDING

The Cuckoo and the Peccary

There’s a potential neighborhood landmark hiding in Cambridge, and this Saturday it will be overflowing with contemporary and children’s art, live music, and improv performances. Watch as Cambridge’s historic Foundry building is taken over by the incredible likes of FLUX. Boston, Opus Affair, Voltage Coffee & Art, and Yes.Oui.Si. for four hours to present “The Foundry Equation,” an art initiative and open house.

It’s one heckuva group outing.

“In this building lays an opportunity to unite Cambridge, Kendall Square, and East Cambridge,” said Ilan Levy, host of Cambridge Community Television’s “The Foundry” and one of the event’s organizers. They stated that they hope to discover what the community wants from the Foundry building and how it can be used in the future to everyone’s benefit.

10,000 square feet will exemplify what the community needs when it comes to local creativity.

You know we’re obviously all over it.

The Foundry Building could be a permanent location for the Paper Cut Zine Library and it could even be like the Independent Publishing Resource Center in Portland, Oregon (IPRC.com).
