DIG THIS: PLAY ME, I’M YOURS

pianos feat

From Friday, September 27th through Monday, October 14th, the Celebrity Series of Boston is bringing the city Play Me, I’m Yours, a global art installation and partnership with British artist Luke Jerram. This involves trusting Boston and Cambridge with 75 pianos (in honor of the 75th season) that are open to the public to play. Local artists and community organization groups have decorated the pianos into fabulous designs, which will be planted along the city beginning on the 27th.

This is a part of Celebrity Series’ tradition to provide a “transformative experience for audience and artist alike.”

The art installation will be a welcoming sight around Boston, connecting all of its communities to a global movement that provides 1,000 pianos world-wide in an effort to spread culture and music.

Boston will host the 1000th piano (Go us!) and make some music among the streets. Celebrity Series is hosting a kickoff party and will be proving desserts and drinks to celebrate like it’s a Grammy’s pre-game party.
