Queue the “Girls” reruns, and revisit Tiny Furniture, ’cause Lena Dunham is coming to town.
As part of her Not That Kind of Girl book tour, Dunham will be stopping in Boston on October 2 and she is looking for acts to open up the show. Presale starts tomorrow, July 16th, at noon. Use the code “BOSTON” to get the goods. The event is presented by Brookline Booksmith and will be hosted at the Wilbur Theatre.
The official deets:
“Lena will be traveling across our great nation for book events this fall. Don’t miss out on your signed copy of NOT THAT KIND OF GIRL, Lena reading from her book and answering audience questions, and oodles of special guests. Plus, you’ll learn more about organizations close to Lena’s heart, including a special partnership with Planned Parenthood.”
“Think you’d make a great opening act for one of Lena’s events? Show us what you’ve got! Submit a video demonstrating your talent (singing, comedy, musical spoons, etc) under your local city where available. Your act must be 3 – 5 minutes and able to be performed with a limited set (AKA a solo microphone and a stage). We want to keep it local, so we ask that you reside within a 75 mile radius of the event city for which you are submitting your talent.”
