SOULFIRE THE SEQUEL: MISSION HILL

SoulFire-Bar-Kitchen

Love the slow cooked meats and succulent sauces of Soulfire but hate going to Allston for any reason other than to swill PBR tallboys on your friend’s stoop? Well then here’s some good news: Soulfire has opened a new location in Mission Hill! The much-loved local barbecue joint has taken over what used to be Brigham Circle Diner, located at 737 Huntington Ave. The new restaurant will offer almost the same mouth-watering menu as their Allston location, which—if you haven’t tried it yet—includes items such as slow-smoked pulled pork, half of a whole roasted chicken, barbecue platters that serve up to four, and the irresistible-when-drunk barbeque chip covered mac and cheese. Until further notice, you’ll have to get your buzz on somewhere else before you hit Soulfire II because their beer and wine license is still pending. We’ll celebrate with some $2.75 Schlitz tallboys when they get approved.

Soulfire has been branching out in a number of ways recently. They were featured on the Food Network’s show, Meat & Potatoes just last month. You can think of their new location as a tip of the hat to their more seasoned customers (we’ll need it once the tourists start piling in … all those Mission Hill tourists). One more piece of advice for the real fans: if you join their facebook group, you can get a FREE pulled pork sandwich at their Brigham Circle location just by showing your smart phone (offer good 7.9.12-7.11.12).
