Autumn in New England means
comfort food.

And we’re not talking comfort food in the “miniature mountains of mac and cheese with a chopped-up hot dog thrown in for good measure” sense, we’re talking “oh good, this squash bisque appetizer tells me that fundamental natural order of the universe remains unaltered, dig in.”

A gourd on your table, decorative or otherwise, is a welcome reminder that the cosmic clockwork behind all things grinds on—summer will give way to fall, sweaters will be donned, and pumpkin will be added to fucking everything. The world is as it should be.

So as you gaze upon these beige tapestries crowning the tableclothes of our cities finer establishments, remember this: with each cider donut you munch, with each cinnamon rim you sip, with each pumpkin-seed something or other you put away, you are choosing to reaffirm life, and all that is capital-g Good about it.

Besides, have you tried pumpkin-seed something or other?

That shit’s delicious. BLUE INC
