OPENING ALERT: LULU’S

DOC_Lulus

Allston-ians (and anyone else, really) looking for a new beer bar doing upscale comfort food by way of Oklahoma (think: bison and wild boar chili with local cheddar on a bed of Fritos) may now get excited. Because come Monday, Lulu’s will be throwing open the doors for full access to their non-repeating 50-draft beers at the ready (an another 50 varieties in can and bottle). “We’re IPA guys,” Managing Partner Justin Dalton-Ameen says. “So the hops are well represented.”

Your move: grab Table 99 in the back corner where you can pack 12 people in before the private 60-inch flatscreen facing the booth, call for a pint from the “Village Keg” offering mystery pints for $3.50 no matter what it is. Could be shit. Could be super. You just have to follow them on social to pick up on what their secret brew is for the night whether it’s a cheap go-to or a darling Belgian Tripel. Dalton-Ameen says: “It’s our way of connecting with and interacting with the community in the area.”
