Ah, the Friday before Christmas!

We made it, Dig readers! It’s almost 2014 and–while we’re all feeling crazy excited about the new year–we’re also feeling a bit nostalgic. It feels like only yesterday we were laughing at the Beyoncé memes running rampant across the interweb after her Super Bowl performance. And remember when MassCANN/NRML sued the city for permits to hold the Boston Freedom Rally? That was a time!

And I feel like it was just yesterday we were all calling each other “ratchet” and twerkin’ it to the proverbial (and also, not so proverbial) man!

A lot of sh*t got banned this year and a lot of dumb shit was written about Boston by people who don’t know the first thing about Boston.

But most of what happened in 2013 was pretty fucking cool.

Like, Boston got itself a shiny, new mayor and the Dig went literally all around the city to bring you scenes from the polls. And this happened:

But it’s time to wrap a pretty bow around the year and send it off into the hell that is the USPS at this time of year.

Goodbye, 2013. You done good, gurl.
