DIG THIS: PET SEMATARY/ZOMBIE

zombie

dead and deader-er

What’s that you say? More corpses brought back to terrorize the living? These two films screening as part of Coolidge’s @fter Midnight film proffer two different flavors of rigor mortis-ized goodness. The first has your sorta evil, sorta smelly pets (and one other, uh, small thing) selfishly brought back to life by Herman Munster grieving loved ones.  (Also, it’s set in Maine. Fucking terrifying.) The second has your hard-gore Italian cannibals (courtesy of Lucio Fulci) nomming their way through investigative journalists on a tropical island. Believe it or not, Stephen King is the subtle one in this pairing.
