As unluck would have it, this year’s iteration of this annual fringe film festival happens to fall on that superstition-riling and black cat-avoiding week-ender of a day we’ve listed down yonder. So of course, the three-day marathon of all things cheesy, goofy and/or hackneyed begins with a double-feature of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter and Jason Lives: Friday the 13th, Part VI. For those taking notes, this period of the franchise marks the transition from regular-psychopath-Jason to zombie-psychopath-Jason. That’s not on the test, but it is fucking sick.
