IN CASE YOU WATCHED IT

Here’s a list of seven things you may have watched, talked about, or happened on television this week that are worth talking about again.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

1. I loved so much about this week’s episode of Game of Thrones, but mostly the scene with Sansa, Margaery, and Lady Olenna Tyrell. I really hope Lady Olenna is in this season a whole lot more (I haven’t read the books so I don’t know anything beyond what has aired). Rolling Stone’s recap of this scene was just brilliant.

“Imagine Downton Abbey’s Dowager Countess completely stripped of even the pretense of being polite to anyone for any reason and you’ve got this delightful old cutthroat, played with deadpan panache by leather-catsuit legend Diana Rigg. In short order she insults Renly, her son, her dead husband, her female friends and relatives and handmaidens, the Lannisters, the waiter – pretty much everyone but the three women sitting at the table, talking treason about the King. Sansa’s white-knuckle terror over the very idea of saying something negative about Joffrey for others to hear is so obvious you want to reach through the screen and wrap her in a blanket or something (man, Sophie Turner rules), which only proves how fearless and confident Lady Olenna is in her own security and power. She’s rich, powerful, well-connected, intelligent, and just plain out of fucks to give. They say the graveyards of the world are full of indispensable men, but she’s not a man, is she? What a thrill to watch three females decide their own fates for a change.” (via)

2. Mad Men returned for it’s 5th season and it was pretty great. Don is having sex with Velma from Scooby Doo, Sally is talking about tampons, Betty is hanging out in a crack den, Peggy is now basically Don or maybe she’s not, Megan is a regular on a soap opera, Roger is thinking about his own mortality after his mother dies. Oh, and Stan has an awesome beard. And, and James Wolk is in this season!

3. I know it was on Saturday, but I legitimately loved this scene from SNL.

4. I am not sure why I keep watching The Following and yet here I am doing it every week. There are only three more episodes this season and I wish that it was ending this season on not continuing on for a second season.

5. Candice Glover gave me chills this week on American Idol. Check it out.

Mariah thought so too.

6. I am really into Hannibal. This week’s episode was so weird and gross, but so beautifully filmed that you just can’t turn away.

7. Just a reminder that there are two episodes of Happy Endings on tonight. Stay in. TGIF, ok?
