“I have this sexual attraction to cute cartoon characters.”–R. Crumb on Bugs Bunny
Sexual attraction might be a bit of a stretch, but we do share a fondness with the Grand Master of Underground Comix for that wasscally wabbit. We might not be keeping pics of Bugs in our fap-folder, but we have learned a thing or two about sex, love and romance during the countless viewings of the Looney Tunes oeuvre.
Don’t be afraid to mix it up
When Bugs says, “Tazzy, you devil, you toss a mean salad” in Bedeviled Rabbit, we know he’s talking about a literal 50-gallon sized bowl of greens and veggies. But, then again, he’s hog-tied and talking about serving that salad with “Wild Turkey Surprise,” so he might not be taking about bean sprouts. We’ve all had a Wild Turkey Surprise, right?
A little mechanical loving is just what the mad scientist ordered
We’ve all been there—that Hair-Raising Hare moment when the scruffy orange beast is creepin’ all over ya, the bald mouth-breathing “doctor” is staring you down—you just want to go home and make a little magic with your battery powered “rabbit.” And by rabbit we mean sex toy. We’re not ones to tell you how to get you rocks off.
A little R. Kelly goes a long way
If Space Jam taught us anything, it’s that a little R. Kelly on the soundtrack is the key to an enduring legacy. And while we would likely opt for R.’s “Feelin’ on Yo Booty”—screaming “I Believe I Can Fly” mid O-face is a little weird, even for us—the intention is the same. We also learned that if you have a spaceship, you can get people to care about Michael Jordan’s baseball career.
