THE RUMBLE RUNDOWN: NIGHT 2

rumble-logo

The Rock ‘N’ Roll Rumble‘s well under way, and Night 2 has named its victor: Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys!

Walter and company (they really are a company, given that there are, like, seven of them who trounced the stage at TT’s last night) join Jenny Dee & the Deelinquents as the first two bands who are moving on in the Rumble. Though the Army of Broken Toys and their be-dreadlocked leader put on a hell of a show (as demonstrated in the above clip, provided by Sophia’s Rock Beat), it’s important to note that the rest of the Night 2 bands — Full Body Anchor, Tijuana Sweetheart and A Wish For Fire — all left everything they had on the stage in the name of rock. A Wish For Fire at the 2011 Rock ‘N’ Roll Rumble (video: Just Bill.)

TONIGHT: Night 3 gives us a battle for the eardrums with The Autumn Hollow Band, Cult 45, John Powhida International Airport and Spirit Kid.

We’ll be there. You should be, too.
