TRAVIS, CAROLYN, AND CHLOE OUTSIDE THE VENUE WHAT WE TALK ABOUT WHEN WE TALK ABOUT US (WWTA) AFTER THE SHOW, MONDAY 5.28.12
Have you guys ever been to an Algernon show before?
Chloe: Yeah, they came to UMass [Amherst]. We both go to UMass together. But he wasn’t there, so it doesn’t count.
What’s your name?
Travis, cool. How did this show compare to the one at UMass?
Carolyn: It was better, sweatier, smaller, less of a party. With the one at UMass, everyone was drunk, including myself, and at this one, I don’t know, I just felt like they sounded a lot tighter. They jammed out a little bit more. I think they sounded more together. But then again, I’m more sober this time so it’s hard to know. I thought they sounded better.
You guys get your dance on?
Chloe: Oh, yes! I was up at the front, sweating, dancing, so sweaty.
Travis: There was beer everywhere, and there were like, so many close calls where I was just like, “Ahhh!”
Carolyn: We both wore open toe shoes, and we can tell our toes are bleeding or half broken. You never know.
Oh man. Do you think Algernon sounds too much like Cap’n Jazz?
Chloe: I love Cap’n Jazz, so why not have another band that sounds like them? I love them both.
Carolyn: I agree.
If a bunch of people get together and just have a great time listening to them live, then that’s all that matters.
There’s a ton of bands out there. Of course there will be a little overlapping.
