We’ve written before about Vivian Darkbloom—waxing both philosophic on their delicate-yet-dark indie rocking and philosophomoric about their appropriation of the Lolita character/“Vladimir Nabokov” anagram. Boom. Just did it again. Their show at Church tonight (alongside Bundles of Joy, Golden Retriever and ONSLO)—like all their shows—will be a fittingly rockin’ homage to a literary master who wrote a book about pedophilia and included himself as a character, all without things getting (too) squicky. That’s called having your pedo-cake and … we weren’t really sure where we going with that one. Moving on.
