What brought you out tonight?
Aksana: Oh, well actually I live in this building across the street here. So what I usually do is I check what’s playing around—in Brighton Music Hall, at Great Scott, and in O’Brien’s—and then whoever I like on YouTube, I go to their shows.

Very nice. That’s always something to do. Which band got your attention that you wanted to see?
Aksana: This last one, Wintersleep.

But I didn’t appreciate it as much as I thought.

Ah, I hear ya. And you came along with an invite?
Ryan: Pretty much, although I’d heard the band before. I think back in 2002. I was trying to figure out if we opened for them. But anyway, I definitely heard them earlier.

Does it bother you living right there with the noise sometimes?
Aksana: Nope, absolutely not. I’m really cool with noise. And I have earplugs.
