THE HEAD AND THE HEART @ ROYALE

Flash-forward three days. Seattle’s The Head and the Heart take the stage at Newport Folk Festival 2012, rocking a minimalist blend of pop, Americana and folk. You’re having a great time. Only it’s not Sunday, July 29th. It’s tonight. At Royale. And those aforementioned pop-Americana folkers (and possible time-travelers) are playing a pre-Newport set. And … you’re still having a great time. Which is nice and all ‘cept boom it’s also not tonight. It’s last night. They’re playing a pre-pre-Newport set too. ‘Kay, done with the mind games. Your head’s a radioactive fish tank now anyway.
