party never nds
Without falling into the more overt, gushy “oh no love is hurt so bad but also good” trap which can characterize much R&B, this Canadian-born recording artist (otherwise known as Abel Tesfaye) crafts sensitive tracks ’bout lovin’ and the inevitable, unenviable loss that ensues which don’t “pander to” the brokenhearted so much as they “rally.” That might seem like a moot distinction, but take our word for it—this is how revolutions start. Sad, mopey revolutions. The people! United! Will never stop grousing about the one that got away!
