POLL GLANCING: SOUTHIE: GAVIN EDUCATION COMPLEX

gavin

POLLING PLACE: GAVIN EDUCATION COMPLEX – 215 DORCHESTER STREET

WARD, PRECINCT: 7, 4
NEIGHBORHOOD: Southie
TIME: 9:02am
VOTES CAST: 83
SIGNAGE WINNER: Advertising all over the place, with signs for lots of City Council hopefuls in the mix including at-large incumbent Ayanna Pressley.

On a side note, we’re wondering if the signs for Jeff Ross–not the comedian, but rather the at-large candidate–help Mike Ross when the first name is covered.

WHAT WE SAW: Ed Flynn, son of former Mayor Ray Flynn and possibly the nicest guy in the world, pumping lit for John Connolly. A few Walsh supporters, and a slow but steady stream of voters–even as rush hour wound down.
WHAT WE DIDN’T SEE: Much of anything significant. Not as many Walsh boosters in front of the precinct as there are at others nearby, but mobs of them at nearby Andrew Square and seemingly every other intersection in the area.
WTF?: If you’re as immature as we are, it’s kind of funny how Walczak has a “#2” on his latest Wint-O-Green signage.
