POLL GLANCING: ALLSTON VILLAGE: JACKSON MANN SCHOOL

jacksonmann

POLLING PLACE: JACKSON MANN SCHOOL – 500 CAMBRIDGE STREET

WARD, PRECINCT: 21, 3-7
NEIGHBORHOOD: Allston Village
TIME: 12:25pm
TOTAL VOTES CAST: 431
SIGNAGE WINNER: Marty wins for quantity of signs, sign size, and number of volunteers (though we’re told there were more Connolly people here earlier).
WHAT WE SAW: Walsh volunteers who are eager to talk. One, Chris Daly, says he appeared once before in the Dig, that time touting the good qualities of a former hot dog stand in Newmarket. He says he would have voted for [fallen Allston union legend] Brian Honan if he were alive, but that Walsh is a good second choice. “They named a library after this guy,” he says of Honan.
WHAT WE DIDN’T SEE: Droves of super excited young voters.

WTF?: Any significant anecdotal indication of who might take these precincts.
