Wondering how to make your own tie-dye denim shirt, or what beauty must-haves are right for summer? Or maybe you just want to see how Mo styled herself today. She’s the only person I’ve interviewed for No Filter Fashion who has listed a senior fashion editor at Vogue as a style inspiration, and there’s no doubt she knows her stuff. Now, through PMG, Mo’s sharing her love of shoes, DIY projects, and her DSLR with anyone who wishes they knew the answer to, “Hey, where’d you get that?”
It was an avenue for me to express my style, something I don’t often get to do because of work.
Although my job in transportation typically leaves my closet neglected, I’m often asked about my clothes or where I got something that I have on when I’m out and about. Paid Made & Gifted was a way of categorizing the items neatly into one place. ‘Paid’ if it was purchased, ‘made’ if it was a DIY, and ‘gifted,’ obviously if it was a gift.
How would you describe your style?
My style varies from day to day. I can go from sneakers and leggings one day to heels and a short suit the next. I just have to be comfortable in what I’m wearing and
I refuse to wear shoes that hurt or are impossible to walk in.
It also depends on the lovely Boston weather, of course.
Who is your biggest fashion influence?
I don’t really have specific people who influence my fashion sense,
but I can say that I lean more towards anything that looks effortlessly chic.
Do you prefer vintage, thrift, streetwear or designer?
What are your favorite things about living in the Boston area?
I love that I live in a city where I can work, socialize, shop, have lunch on a patio, and just be in the hustle and bustle of a major city then be back home where it’s nice and quiet within a half-hour. I love the history and diversity of Boston and for the most part, the people here are very friendly and caring.
I’ve always been proud to be a Bostonian.
Can you tell us 5 random facts about you?
- I love the game of basketball. I’ve been playing for over 20 years now.
- My all-time favorite TV series is The Wire.
- Before I moved to Boston, I lived in Mississippi.
- I wear size 34 shoe.
(Yes, that’s a 4.)
- Despite my petite stature, I can really chow down when it comes to food. I love to eat.
What is one clothing item, or accessory, could you not live without?
Believe it or not, it’s a hair tie. Having long hair, I’m miserable when I can’t throw my hair up in a ponytail when I need to.
What’s something you’re looking forward to Instagraming right now?
A pair of heels I recently purchased.
Like most other women, I have a shoe addiction.
