Prime spots to drink, relax, and party after dominating trails and taking a few falls.

Research by Michelle Paniagua | @thepaniagua

We’re so insanely spoiled by this winter wonderland we live in that some of us are occasionally heard saying ridiculous things like, “Vermont is okay, but I prefer Vail,” and “I used to ski a lot, but I don’t have a car anymore, so I mostly hide in my apartment playing Xbox until the snow melts.”

In an effort to help such sentiments subside, here goes the first of two special DigBoston sports issues this season (the other comes in January, halfway through the ski and snowboard schedule). For this outing, we rounded up our favorite spots to drink, relax, and party after dominating trails and taking a few falls, plus the best options for getting in some powdery fun without wheels. As a kicker, we also shared instructions on How To Ski Like A Selfish Bastard. Consider it a cautionary tale.
