Over the last 18 months, a collection of 30 students from UMass Lowell and the Mass College of Art and Design have been working on their submission to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon—a 1,000 square foot, solar-powered future-pad. The 4-D house. While we may not be able to account for most of those D’s (time-travel? free cable?) we do know Team Massachusetts is only one of 20 teams worldwide that’ll be carting their space-wares to the National Mall. Fuck yeah, dorks!
