spoiler: bad things happening to

Between The Departed, The Town, Gone Baby Gone, and the hilarious(?) upcoming Sandra Bullock-Melissa McCarthy buddy cop film set in Boston, it’s clear that Hollywood has its eye on the Hub. Partially for its fertile storytelling ground, and partially because the Hub might have stolen Hollywood’s wallet. Equally fertile, pathos-wise, is this Tony-nominated play by David Lindsay-Abaire concerning a single mom from Southie who’s recently lost her job. So she pretty much begs her married ex for help. And it’s so sad.
