Is this your first year at the Boston Comic Con?
No, I came last year and had a really good time. I love comics and I draw all the time so I figured I should come again.
Have you made any sales today?
I have. This part of the room is the indie cartoonist area, so people don’t really know our stuff. It’s really exciting for a stranger to come, flip through your work and enjoy it.
So are you here to sell stuff, market yourself, or to meet other artists?
All of the above. I’m definitely here to sell my work and show it to people I wouldn’t meet normally. I’m also here to hang out with my friends and see what other kind of art is being done. I also really like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I wanted to see Kevin Eastman. He’s one of series’ two creators.
If you could ask Kevin Eastman one question, what would it be?
I would ask why he gave the Ninja Turtles a tail that looks like a penis or a little piece of poop.
Don’t turtles have tails, though?
Yeah, but it doesn’t have to look like that. I made a shellsploitation comic, which is like, about pornographic Ninja Turtles.
Yeah, it’s actually a gay shellspoitation comic where Donatello ends up with a pizza guy.

What inspired you to draw gay turtle cartoons?
Well there’s definitely a genre of slash fiction where you make sexual stories about famous characters.
This is hysterical.
It’s pretty bonkers. And saucy.
Why aren’t you dressed up as a Ninja Turtle?
Ah, maybe next year. I was thinking about being Casey Jones from the Ninja Turtles. He wears a ski mask and blue jeans. But maybe I’ll go as a Ninja Turtle because that’d be awesome.
