True, these irregularly scheduled showcases led by some of Somerville’s top performo-comedy types do lean toward the “chuckles and guffaws” end of the scale, bolstered in no small part by drop ins from the likes of comedian-author Eugene Mirman and author-comedian Chris Gethard. Then again, there’s always (read: probably just tonight) Cambridge’s Damon & Naomi to drop some be-coupled dream-pop into the mix. Ditto for Duck That, the … “world’s only improvisational duck call free jazz band.” Well, there’s also “balls-weird” part of the scale.
