Some shows you lament for years after their demise. Brilliant, chronically under-appreciated gems like My So-Called Life, Arrested Development, and Assy McGee. (Okay, I’m the only one who thinks that last one was under-appreciated.)
The recently canceled Jane By Design is … not one of those shows.
The premise (high schooler lands high-fashion dream job and juggles both lives) is ludicrous, the acting is horrendous, and the giddy montages are tired.
Consider it mental marshmallow-fluff: too saccharine, down-market familiar, but some days, it just tastes good.
