It’s laden with noisy, abrasive beats and seductive, simple hooks. The band has the potency of 20 runaways gripping switchblades. Lead singerTeri Gender Bender, lead singer, prowls and growls through her lyrics with a theatrical stamina. On tracks like “I’m Getting Sick of You,” she’ll lure you in with soft literary chit-chat, but her pent-up irritation quickly catches up and lets it all out at you.

They’re no strangers to the soft/loud game in their songmaking, either. Their timing is spot-on, making the album rich and dynamic.
