DJ SHAY DAVIS @ MIDWAY CAFE

You ever seen Shane? That Western about a ramblin’ gunslinger who finds himself caught up in a war between a homesteader and a cattle baron? DJ Shay Davis, in addition to having a similar-ish name, is kind of like Shane. Only instead of slinging guns he spins records, and instead of settling border disputes he presides over rock and punk shows, like the one at Midway Cafe tonight. And he’s never killed anybody (we think). And he’s not a cowboy. And a whole bunch of other dissimilarities. Other than that—totally the same dude.
