You could fault zee Germans for a whole lotta things (well, ain’t that a can of worms), but if there’s one thing that Teutons got a lock on, it’s tech, of both the “-no” and “-nology” varieties. From the mechanical manikins of proto-industrial Kraftwerk to the flamethrower penises of industrial-industrial Rammstein, it’s a brave new world over there, and holy hell is it terrifying. Prefer your robots more “giant and fighting” and less “pig-faced and bleeding?” Get all the spooky computer sounds for only a quarter of the mental trauma with the old-school early adopters of KMFDM at Royale this evening.
