I am grateful that a band like Township merely exists today in a town like Boston. I could say that their records sit right at home alongside Boston and Aerosmith albums from days of yore while fitting in with the more experimental folks of the current scene. I could say that they clearly know where they’re at when it comes to their sound and musically they’re a well-oiled machine. I could get all giddy over the decibels Marc Pinansky can reach with his voice alone or fantasize about stealing someone’s car (one with a stick shift, preferably) and roaring down 93 blasting “Garden Of Our Love” or “Pushing Metal To Bone.”
But no. I am grateful that a band like Township is Boston’s own for those reasons, but all I want to say, in conclusion, is this:
DEAR GOD THAT GLORIOUS ARRAY OF MANE AND FACIAL HAIR.
