The American roots duo Dwight & Nicole are the latest subject of Big Old Big One’s “Off Stage Show” videos shot every other week. The concept is to shoot up-and-coming artists in casual environments off the stage, which sure comes through with Dwight & Nicole’s smooth and soulful rhythms that reverberate with ease.
“Tomorrow’s Not Today” was shot at the Rear Window Studio in Brookline, Mass. The jamming flows here effortlessly and everyone seems to be genuinely enjoying themselves.
Based in Boston and NYC, Dwight & Nicole are inspired by legends like Otis Redding and Etta James, and you can sure hear it in their sound. They have been nominated for four Boston Music Awards and three Boston Phoenix awards. Their music has even appeared on the following prime time television shows: “The Forgotten,” on ABC; “Missing,” on Lifetime; and “The Cleaner,” on A&E.
Visit Big Old Big One tomorrow for additional off-the-stage video footage of Dwight & Nicole.
If you want to catch them live, they are performing in Cambridge on Feb 25 at the Regattabar. Percussionist Eran Shaysh will also collaborate for a couple of songs.
