We’ll forever remember the day that the word “bangover” entered the Dig’s vocabulary. It was in An Tain on April 21, 2011, at about 11pm, standing in the dark, listening to LOL Boys and Egyptrixx open up on a room full of electronic music fanatics.
Bambounou – Fake Jake (128) by Youngunz
For those who don’t feel like checking Urbandictionary right now, a bangover is the intense pain you get in the back of your neck after three to four consecutive days of music partying. It’s not a pleasant feeling, but it does make you feel that your life is on a good trajectory. Especially when you realize that there’s four more days still to come.
Together is almost upon us again, and in just two short months we’ll be back in the clubs, heads bobbing up and down, heedless of the inevitable muscle cramps and packs of Icy Hot to come. In order to give us a chance to see what’s coming up—and to allow us to strengthen those muscles a little in preparation—
Together is throwing a little warm-up party at the Brighton Music Hall.
Who’s throwing down for the preview? Just a couple of the most quickly rising names in French garage/two-step music, French Fries and Bambounou. Check out their latest EPs, Laquisha and Alpha and dance around in your apartment. Then come dance in public with the rest of us. (We recommend stretching first.)
