In the time of the ancient Greeks, Atlas was the Titan who supported the heavens. In the time of the muscle-heads, Atlas was the bro who was pretty sure he could help other bros beat up other, jerkier bros on beaches (so as to acquire ladies!). In the interest of bridging these two wildly different mythologies, may we present Atlas Soul at Brighton Music Hall. With enough Afro-Mediterranean musical stylings to please world-music (or world-bearer) fans, and enough jazz-funk fusion to please, uh, well-muscled fans of jazz and funk, we guess. Also: everybody else. Pleasings for all, sand-kicked-in-face for none.
