Usually, we try to avoid directly quoting band pages. (Writing bullshit ’bout music is our job, turds.) So whenever we do pull a phrase straight off the interwebs, it’s less ’cause we couldn’t think of another phrase for “electrifying blues/rock” and more ’cause a gang like these Chicago-based indie-folkers have put us in our fucking place, quotability-wise. On their Bandcamp: “We recorded this in a laundry room. The engineer doesn’t remember the last half of the session.” Yeah. Let’s go ahead and call that “scene,” right there.
