BAKER THOMAS BAND @ MIDDLE EAST UPSTAIRS

We weren’t saddened when we found that local blues-rock legionaries Baker Thomas Band weren’t actually led by some sort of fittingly doughy musical pastry chef. That’s the kind of disappointment we’ve learned to deal with every day, folks. Besides, any twinge of depression we might have (just “might have”) felt was quickly assuaged once we knew the gang would be bringing their eclectic stylings to the Middle East Upstairs alongside The Franks and two-thirds of the Brothers McCann. Also: someone in BTB goes by the nickname “The Alligator.” That … that helped a bit too.
