Imagine our shock when we saw that the folk-rock-playing, word-playing-on likes of Eli Whitney Houston and the Cotton Gin and Tonics were bringing their blend of guitar noodlin’ and the “Before and After” Wheel of Fortune puzzles to the Middle East Upstairs tonight. How can we joke around that name? It has everything we love to include when we’re tooling on bands: semi-obscure historical references, recently-deceased celebs, booze … *sigh* Guess we’ll just have to be serious from now on—oh, entry’s over? Finally. Who’s next? Matisyahu? Oh that dweeb is getting clowned on hard.
