Now, we’d never say that an indie-folk outfit like these fellas out of Portland, Maine have to mix sparse arrangements with expansive melodies and just-lo-fi-enough recording techniques. Just like we’d never say they’d have to do a collaboration with last week’s Music feature, Lady Lamb the Beekeeper. And we’d certainly never get carried away with labels and genres in lieu of imploring y’all to just give this completely hypothetical band-- with completely hypothetical, shotgun toting Maine-iac fans-- a listen. Trust us. Mainly ’cause of the shotguns.
