In a just, fittingly melodramatic world, Nebraskan indie four-piece Cursive would be avengers of the kindergartener set, whose explosive, heart-on-sleeve rock would rail against the pointlessness of learning cursive. (Our hand totally cramped up this one time!) As it stands, however, the quartet deign to pull from life experiences (trauma ,divorce, pfff, whatever) and collaborations with folks like Bright Eyes (as well as Minus the Bear, who they’ll be supporting tonight at Royale) for their brand of post-hardcore. But seriously, can anyone explain what the fuck was up with that “Q”?
