It’s rare to find a room in the casa de deep-house these days that’s devoid of Catz n’ Dogz. Well, no respected room, that is. For anyone concerned about animal dander, fear not, for these particular house cats (and dogs) are hypoallergenic creatures with a penchant for moving bodies and dance floors. Meet Grzegorz Demianczuk and Wojciech Taranczuk, the hottest Polish production duo in the house scene.

Perhaps it’s their tendency to seamlessly traverse genres, constantly chartering unexplored terrain, that’s garnered them such attention in the music world. Or perhaps it’s their uncanny ability to inject their sounds with such warmth and fun that’s garnered them such attention in the music world. Either way, one thing’s for sure: it’s no simple task to collaborate with and release tunes on labels such as Dirtybird, Poker Flat, Crosstown Rebels, and Mothership as this furry duo has. Must be something in the cat nip.

Their most recent mix is anything but predictable. It’s disco here, tech-house there, with jutting basslines pulsating throughout. To put it simply, in the words of RA, it’s “a grooving, category free mixture of modern music.” Tonight, for one night only, catch these animals on our turf as they release everyone from their cages at Phoenix Landing for another highly anticipated celebration of RE: SET Wednesdays.
