Saturday ain’t for suckers anymore.
At the risk of joining 90 percent of my peers in using yet another anemic phrase, Boston is absolutely killing it lately with music bookings. There, I said it (and I mean it). For the first time since I can remember, I am not losing my soul on endless Fung Wah rides, impossibly hung over and trying to make it back in time for work after a long night in New York City.
My gratitude goes out to all of the crews and nights in this town dedicated to bringing the upper echelon of artists to our city, allowing me to remain well-danced, somewhat sane, and gainfully employed.
CreateSpace Collab is one of the crews that time and time again deserve the red carpet roll out and slow clap into standing ovation for their contribution to our burgeoning city nightlife. They’ve been packing some serious heat lately with their Saturday night “Sweet Shop” parties at Good Life, and tomorrow evening is looking like it will not disappoint. Coming in from the UK is DJ/producer Graeme Sinden, or just Sinden to us.
Sinden is the ultimate wild card DJ when it comes to his live sets. You may have enjoyed an hour in juke heaven, hovering around 150-160 BPM in last night’s set, but tonight he may go smooth, sensual and straight house. His Fact Mix is crisp, surprising and unapologetic. Just check out the collaborations with SBTRKT to hear what I mean and buckle up, it’s going to be a crazy night between Sinden, Matt McNeill, and Zola. Don’t forget, dress to kill (Halloween style), as I may or may not be channeling a certain Warhol girl and judging the costume contest. Impress me.
