So Moe Pope and Rain put out their “Annie Mulz” video, the first single off the forthcoming album, in early November. Then they win “Best Hip-Hop Artist of the Year” in the BMAS. Their new album, Let the Right Ones In drops Tuesday, January 22 on Brick Records. And I sit here tapping my toes, wondering what could possibly be next.

And then boom: He, Rain, and director Matt Teuten give you “What You Need” today.

The flow is something that comes naturally. Smooth beats that make you, quite literally, lean back by Mr. Quills. A high hat that hits like a hand slap and a kick drum like a shoulder bump from a good friend. The video takes you back stage with the gang, featuring a bunch of local favs including Santi Araujo from Bad Rabbits. Always reppin’ the Bean, seriously awesome black and white visuals of the city streets, making even the T look dope (truly, an unbelievable feat). Now I’m just gonna press play and chill with this beat some more…

The only thing I need is for Rain to give me the instrumental, because I’d love to freestyle over this.
