ONE YEAR BASH @ BLOC 11

One year ago, the inimitable musical multi-tool that is Kristen Ford looked around the wrought iron and steamed java of her Bloc 11 kingdom (“kingdom” being a archaic term for “place of employment”), and saw that it was good. There were sandwiches of the crispest rye, cute queer couples stealing glances amidst triple-digit Scrabble games and the scent of dark roast throughout. Yes, this is good, thought Ford … but it could be better. Since then, Ford’s been booking live acts each week to rock the vault, and tonight, they’re all coming back to celebrate.
