PROFILE: LABYRINTH
A labyrinth can be defined as “an intricate structure of interconnecting passages through which it is difficult to find one’s way.” It’s also the inspiration behind Nader Bodaire’s DIY clothing company, appropriately named Labyrinth. We talked with the young entrepreneur and now-senior at Northeastern University about his designs, apparel and future plans. Continue reading
PHANTASMA: ZACH LANOUE
Zach Lanoue is sitting on a segment of stump. He’s hunched over a glass tabletop, outlining a contorted human figure in candy red paint. His clothes are more or less “right” – hoodie, black pants, shoes.
“I’ve been crossdressing for years,” Lanoue says. He stops. Later he explains: “It was more of an impulse when I was 13 or so and I started wearing non-male-specific clothing and wearing clothing in their not specific orientations on the body. Continue reading
SUMMER FASHION: KOALACORE
Founded in 2010, Koalacore not only prints ill t-shirts, hoodies, and accessories, but they care about our furry friends. Each month, the Core donates 10 percent of all profits to the ASPCA—suck on that, Sarah McLachlan. Their tees all feature some form of a koala caught in the middle of doing somethings koalas don’t normally do.
The sick graphics are eye-catching and unique, making Koalacore tees an awesome way to mix up any look.
