There was a dance party in Central Square on Friday June 30. And while those involved may have thought they were at the epicenter of “it,” the first annual Hometown Hoedown – a showcase in local Americana music headlined by Girls Guns and Glory – was happening down the street in the cavernous basement of the Middle East and had to be one of the best events in the city just by sheer quality of performance.
