SHEPHERDESS @ PLOUGH AND STARS

shepardess

Ah, Jamaica Plain: Where the Far Side desk calendars have never seen a day past ‘95, Clinton is still president and the only time flannel is removed in public is when it’s on fire. If Centre Street offers up a glimpse into that bygone era of tongue piercing advocacy and unironic pog-ownership, then Shepherdess lets you hear what it must have sounded like, with garage-born odes to attitude and chinos. Stop by the Plough and Stars for the rare treat of these dedicated re-enactors performing far from their native orange line. No iPhone photos, please, you’ll frighten them.
