The Paradise Rock Club
Ever wonder why it is that the folks who are actually making the music that’s worth listening to tend to make those tunes sound so bad? If it’s coming in loud and clear, then it’s probably garbage. Loud, indistinct and heavily distorted? Now we’re talking. That exodus of talent to tape decks and duct tape owes much to the blazed trailblazers of proto-indie set Sebadoh, mumbling messiahs of the lo-fi movement, and more specifically, frontman Lou Barlow, who was the also the co-founder a little group of nobodies known as Dinosaur Jr. Props.
