The Boston Bacon Takedown took place yesterday at the Armory. Hormel Black Label Bacon was one of the sponsors of the event and gave a porky 15 pounds of bacon to 20 local bacon lovers/ amateur chefs to create the mouthwatering and inventive bacon treat of their dreams. Dan Coes and David Swan won both the Judge’s Choice contest and the People’s Choice contest with their bacon caramels…Congradubacons! Other entrants included bacon ice cream, bacon fried rice, bacon chili, bacon corn dogs, bacon sushi, and more BAYYYYYYCONNNNN. We never get sick of that word.
