It was one of those nights where a mass invitation had been sent out, but no one responded. "Drunk Spelling Bee tonight, let’s meet up!" My friend and I grabbed a two-top, doubting anyone would show. When I ran into a coworker, our waitress offered to combine tables, smiling as she moved chairs around like a Tetris champ. Friends kept filing in, and by the end of the night, we were four tables strong, a squillion different tabs and spelling bee victors.
