The Boston media has had a lot of shake-ups lately. With most of our friends in the business focusing their energy and word counts on names that have nothing to do with our fair city, we started to wonder:
When did Boston publications stop being proud of Boston?
We realized we had to change the way we did things, too. Don’t worry: You’ll still recognize us and our orange boxes,
but our goal is to make DigBoston more about you. Because you’re awesome. And hot. And fun to hang out with.
Seriously.
This week you’ll notice the addition of a “Strictly Local” section, where we’ll talk about the bands, artists, and films hailing from Boston, premiering in Boston, and only seen in Boston (at least for now). We want to represent the city that you care about, because we care about it, too. Therefore, it’s time we start covering more of the things that only we can get away with covering.
You should be proud of your city and the amazing contributions that you make to it, and we want you to know that we’re paying attention. If you ever have a tip about something we aren’t talking about but should be, drop us a line.
We’re listening.
